Christmas Eve at 3:00 PM at Joseph United Methodist Church

200th Anniversary of "Silent Night"

It is the 200th anniversary of this Christmas carol, a favorite of many. For some the most moving part of Christmas Eve is when we light our individual candles and sing "Silent Night" together.

The Greatest Story Ever Told

Nativity of Jesus, Mary, and Joseph

We will have the familiarity of traditional carols and candles in our historical sanctuary with little touches to make it special and memorable.

You Are Invited for Christmas Eve

Our Candlelight Christmas Eve service will begin at 3:00 PM. Join us as we celebrate when Peace was born, the Christ Child.

True Meaning of Christmas Tour, Saturday Dec 8 from 9 am-1 pm

Hot Chocolate for the Community

Join us for a free cup of hot chocolate at the corner of S Main & 3rd St.

Christmas is about closeness. It’s a time when families, friends, and loved ones — even those we tend to hold at a distance much of the year — come close together to celebrate God coming close to humans in the form of Baby Jesus. It’s a time to connect with people in special ways, and to discover a feeling of belonging. We hope you’ll join us our “True Meaning of Christmas” event as we celebrate the love and joy of togetherness this glorious season.

We’re looking forward to sharing smiles and conversations with a lot of people. We hope to share a lot of cups of hot cocoa. And we plan on drawing people together by doing good for one another.

Blue Christmas Worship Service, Saturday, Dec 15 at 3 pm

Blue Christmas Service Dec 15 at 3 pm

Are the holidays a difficult time? Are you missing loved ones or praying for someone to love? Feeling melancholy because you can't get excited the way that others seem to feel? Are you simply feeling a little blue?

You are invited to our Blue Christmas Worship Service. This service is designed to help you acknowledge those feelings and apply salve to the emotional wounds. You may need more time to work through feelings of grief, but there is opportunity for healing to begin, new life to start. This is what Christmas is really all about. The new life of the one that brings salve and healing and new life.

Join us on Saturday, December 15th at 3 PM at The PLACE. It is at 303 S Lake St in Joseph, Oregon, next to Joseph United Methodist Church.

Call 541-432-3102 or email with questions or for more information.
